Motorola drops price of its Xoom tablet in India

Motorola Xoom price drop

It seems that Motorola finally realized that they had priced the Xoom at a stupid price right in the beginning. Initially, Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi version was priced at Rs 32,990 (MRP: Rs 34,490) and the Best Buy for the 3G version was Rs 39,990 (MRP: Rs 41,490).

Now, Motorola has dropped it to Rs 29,990 for the WiFi 32 GB version and Rs 35,590 for the 3G 32 GB version. Letsbuy is already selling the tablet at this reduced price for this interested to pick up one.

Motorola Atrix 4G for AT&T drops to $99.99 on 2-year contract

It was only a matter of time - dual-core droids are getting cheaper. The Motorola Atrix 4G has dropped to $99.99 on AT&T with a 2-year contract, down from the $199.99 that they originally asked for it.

You can snatch an Atrix 4G from AT&T now but there are two things you need to consider - you need a data plan (starting at $15/month) and you really should look at the docks.

The HD Multimedia dock for the Motorola Atrix 4G can be had for $129.99 and the premium laptop dock costs $199.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate). Unfortunately, those are the prices for buying either dock separately - no discount here.

Interested? Then head over to AT&T's online store.

HTC drops the locked bootloaders policy, custom ROMs rejoice

Now that didn?t last long. The enormous (almost exclusively negative) feedback that HTC received after its decision to start locking their smartphone bootloaders has made the company change its mind once again. So from now on the HTC droids will be able to enjoy the custom ROM freedom that their Android nature deserves.

The company announced that it's rethinking its policy the other day and now the HTC CEO himself has used the company Facebook page to confirm they have made the decision.

At this stage the company hasn?t provided information of whether it will be unlocking the bootloaders of devices released in the past few months, but let?s hope for the best. There will be further updates on the matter, which we will certainly be covering, so stay tuned.

Meanwhile, you can stop by the source link and drop a line to thank HTC for listening. Or, you know, condemn them for deciding to start locking their bootloaders in the first place.
